FAQs

What are the benefits of getting a facial?

Facials offer numerous benefits, including deep cleansing, exfoliation, and hydration of the skin. They can help to clear clogged pores, soothe tired or dull skin, and address specific skin concerns such as acne, dehydration, and aging. Some Facials also include a massage, which can improve blood circulation and lymphatic drainage, contributing to a healthy, glowing complexion.

How often should I get a facial?

The frequency of facials depends on various factors, including your skin type, concerns, and goals. Generally, a facial every 4 to 6 weeks is recommended to match the skin's natural renewal cycle. However, your facialist can provide personalised advice based on an assessment of your skin.

What should I expect during my first facial?

During your first facial, your facialist will likely start with a consultation to understand your skin concerns and goals. They'll examine your skin type and condition to customise the facial treatment. The process typically includes cleansing, exfoliation, extractions (if needed), a mask, serum, and moisturiser. Additionally, you may receive a relaxing neck, shoulder, or face massage. The entire session usually lasts between 60 to 90 minutes.

How do I prepare for a facial?

Before your facial, it's best to avoid using any harsh products or performing any aggressive treatments on your skin, such as exfoliating or using retinol, for at least a week. This will help prevent any sensitivity or irritation during the facial. It's also recommended to come to your appointment with a clean face and no makeup.

Can I wear makeup after getting a facial?

It's advisable to allow your skin to breathe and fully absorb the benefits of the facial for at least a few hours after the treatment. If you must apply makeup, wait at least an hour, and opt for mineral-based products that are less likely to clog pores.
